Snowbaby

This month I took the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for my Sister-in-law (along with her mother, sister and sister-in-law). She has done so much for me and my boys, I felt that this was a great way to say Thank You!
Of course, the fun, energetic inner party planner in me came out and had so much fun with this theme.
My theme was Snowbaby, using red, teal and white for the colors an emphasizing on the snowman holding a little package. Did you catch that?! See below on how gorgeous everything turned out!

The invitation is an A7 size with vellum overlay with ribbon at the top to hold it together printed on white matte cardstock.

Here are the party details…

Congratulations Sarah and Joey – can’t wait to meet my nephew early next year!!!!

Of course I can’t take all the credit and can’t produce everything! Here is a list of some great etsy vendors I used:
Cupcake Social – adorable pinwheels for the cupcakes
jodyaleavitt – Too cute BABY blocks
789design – Hanging Poms
Little Peace of My Heart – Baby Bottle Favors.. these were a hit!
Sweat Tea & Pickles – MAMA Chair sign

Modern twist: Snips and Snails, & Puppy Dog Tails

A new trend that is spreading across the nation is hosting more adult like baby showers. No games, no cutesy decor, but enjoyable food and the accompany of your closest family members and friends to help you celebrate the life of the new baby to arrive.
Now to get me wrong, I love the cute baby decor, but I do love this new trend!
I have 3 boys, so I really familiar with the Baby Boy poem and you can certainly still use this for your theme of your baby shower, but definitely can bring it up a little to a more modern look. As you can see below, I used bright greens and blues with the sharpness of brown to bring it all together. I can’t wait to get started on the stationery for the day of the party!

Down to Earth Bride

A client of mine wanted to make sure I captured the true beauty of the bride for her bridal shower invitations and what her wedding is all about. Here are a few details from her explanation: “wedding will be in the spring, using light green as the main color with a green ivy theme” and “the bride has long dark hair, but I know her dress is not that fancy. She’ll be wearing a gypsy style type of dress like from 1960’s”.
I feel I really captured her – what do you think?

Modern, yet Elegant

Here I have a Christmas card that was requested by my client to be modern, but have a hint of elegance and tell a story. I absolutely love the first picture of the card, just too cute! And as you open, you get see to more of the girls and finish the end with a happy picture of the family.
I love the use of green and red damask along with the ornate borders that frame the pictures.

Yo Gabba Gabba on the Farm

Customization is what I am truly all about and this invitation shows it all! A client contacted me and was hoping I could design an invitation for her daughter’s birthday with all the Yo Gabba Gabba characters on a farm. I love challenges, and of course I came through. She was very happy for the overall look and design.
What do you think?
